Five for Food, an initiative of the Greater Lake City Community Foundation for the Lake City Food Shelf, begins its fifth year on February 1 and continues to the end of March, which is Minnesota Food Share Month. As in 2018, Five for Food 2019 sponsors’ funds will be used to match each contribution up to $10.00.
The Five for Food initiative is the largest single fund-raiser of the Lake City Food Shelf, providing over $81,000 in cash in the past four years, allowing the Food Shelf to purchase over $250,000 in food.
